fdh in-house engineer
Kia “The Mix Artist” Shavon is a mixing and mastering engineer, educator, and founder of The Mix Artist, a remote audio engineering company serving artists, brands, and creatives around the world. With a degree in Music Engineering, over 15 years of experience, and thousands of records mixed, she has helped shape sound for artists and organizations including the NBA, Hulu, A$AP Rocky, Slick Rick, Foxy Brown, and LaRussell, collectively reaching over 50 million streams.
More than a service, her work is an experience—rooted in kindness, respect, and precision, reflecting her core values.
Beyond engineering, Kia is deeply committed to education and empowerment. She teaches artists and engineers how to understand and shape their own sound, helping demystify the technical side of music production and expanding access to knowledge historically kept behind closed doors.
Through both her engineering and mentorship, she creates a safe space where creatives can feel confident, capable, and fully in control of their voice and future in music.
